This policy explains what Cardiff Carpets does with information you give us through this website. Last updated: 10 October 2026.
Who we are
Cardiff Carpets is an independent flooring business in Cardiff, selling carpets, LVT, laminate and vinyl in Cardiff and surrounding areas. For anything about your data, contact us on 07368 423040 or youngandpowell@gmail.com.
What we collect
If you use the quote form, we receive the details you enter: your name, phone number, and — if you choose to give them — your email address, postcode, the flooring you're interested in, which rooms are involved and your message. If you contact us by phone, WhatsApp or email, we keep that correspondence so we can reply and follow up.
How we use it
Only to respond to your enquiry, arrange a free home measure if you want one, and keep a record of what we've quoted. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for marketing unless you separately ask us to.
Legal basis
We process what you send us to take steps at your request before a contract (you've asked us to quote) and for our legitimate interest in running a small business and replying to enquiries. The consent box on the form records your agreement to be contacted about your request.
Who else sees it
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes basic technical data (like IP address) to deliver the site securely. Form submissions are delivered to us by email. We only use it to reply to your enquiry. Anything else we share is shared only if we have to by law. We never sell your data.
Cookies
This site doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without identifying you.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details for [retention period — confirm with client], then delete them unless they become part of a customer record we need to keep for accounting or legal reasons.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy. Email us and we'll respond. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
